Frequently Asked Questions
Who's Idea was this?
Fair Question. The idea began as a question. Why doesn't Curt, our Pastor Teacher, preach from the platform? and What would it take to have Curt speak from the platform? Over a few years we have considered a lot of variables. While we like the personal connection it makes to have the preacher down near the congregation, it is difficult to see him. While we want him to be seen, the current stage height and shape seems to create a feeling of distance. Curt likes the idea of speaking from the stage, in his experience in visiting other churches he likes the look and feel of a stage that has a rounded shape in front. It allows the seating to "wrap" around him. Once we began to dream about a new front of the stage, several other obstacles and ideals came to mind. As the course has ensued over the past couple years, Jeff, our Worship Pastor, has met and discussed with various people in the church who saw our "outlines" taped on the floor and wanted to participate in the discussion about redoing the stage. Many ideas have been thrown into the pot, by 20+ different people. Our ideas took even more shape as we brought in some professional stage and lighting design people to get their perspectives and quotes. So it is a conglomeration of many people's dreams. The current design, is a crystalization of all the various input, degined to meet specific needs and ideals, that help us best use the stage as a venue for making known the mysteries of our great God and Savior.
How are we going to raise $35,000?
Well... Prayer. Your Participation. And Lord's Provision. I love when questions like this are brought to the Lord. My oversimplified answer to the "How" question is ASK. First we will ASK God. Then we will ASK the Family of God. Then we will ASK everyone else.
Ask yourself these questions? Have I prayed that God would provide the resources necessary? Have I asked God to help me participate in this project?

What is the $35, 000 going to?
First, we will contribute 10% to ministries that take place outside of the four walls of our church. We want to share the blessing that the Lord pours out towards this. The Project Unveiled Team and the Elder Leadership Team, and Deacon Service Team is considering where to allocate this money.
